Oven Baked Chips

Ingredients
- Medium Potato ~1
- Oil ~ 1/2 tbsp
- Chip seasoning of your choice (Salt and pepper)
Method
- 1. Wash and if you prefer, peel the potato and chop to leave the center as thick as you want your chips.
- 2. Cut the rest of your potato the same thickness.
- 3. Now chop each slice into your chips. Try to cut them all the same thickness to ensure they cook at the same time.
- 4. Place the chips onto a plate lined with a paper towel and place in the microwave for 2 minutes. At this time place a baking tray in a preheated oven.
- 5. Most of your chips should be cooked through after the 2 minutes in the microwave. Some may still have raw spots but they are still fine to use.
- 6. Now transfer the chips back onto your chopping board and coat in your oil. Give it a good mix to make sure every chip is coated.
- 7. Now you need to act quick, take your hot baking tray out the oven and pour your chips onto the tray and place back inside the oven for 20 minutes.
- 8. Every so often take the tray out and flip the chips to ensure an even bake
- 9. Once cooked apply your choice of seasoning. I'm just going to add salt and pepper
- 10. and that's all there is to it! You should have some crispy oven chips with a fluffy inside.
