Basil & garlic pesto is unbelievably easy to make! It can keep for up to at least 2 weeks to 1 month. I usually add a teaspoon or 2 to some pasta with some chicken and mushrooms for a delicious healthy dinner

Basil & Garlic Pesto
Difficulty :- Beginner

Total Time :- 5 minutes (Including roasting time)

Makes: 2/3 a standard jam jar

Ingredients

  • Basil ~ 110g
  • Pine nuts ~ 50g
  • Parmesan Cheese ~ 50g (Grated)
  • Garlic ~ 2 peeled cloves
  • Olive oil ~ 150ml
      Method
        • 1. Start off by roasting your pine nuts in a dry pan until golden

        • 2. Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth

        • 3. Taste and adjust. I added more salt and pepper 

        • 4. Store in a container / jar in the fridge for 2 weeks to 1 month
