Valentines day is coming up and you're either preparing early or it's valentines day right now... either way you still have time to make a fancy looking dessert!

Bread

Difficulty :- Beginner

Total Time :- 6 hours(refrigeration) 10 minutes

Serves :- 6

Ingredients

  • Mascarpone ~ 150g
  • Double Cream ~ 140ml
  • White Sugar ~ 2 Tbsp
  • Water hot~ 300 ml
  • Water cold ~ 30 ml
  • Sponge fingers ~ 15
  • Coffee Liquor or I recommend disaronno ~ 1 Tbsp
  • Coffee Granules ~ 3 Tbsp
  • Cocoa Powder ~ 1 Tsp
      Method
        • 1. Make a strong coffee with the granules & hot water, use the cold water to cool the coffee
        • 2. In a large bowl add your mascarpone, cream & sugar and whisk until light but no quite whipped cream
        • 3. add your coffee liquor OR add 1 tbsp of disaronno and 2 tbsp of your strong coffee (alcohol is optional)
        • 4. whisk until thick and can stand on it's own
        • 5. Dip your sponge fingers into the coffee for roughly 3-4 seconds and place in your serving dish
        • 6. Cover the sponge fingers with a thin layer of your cream mix and smooth out to fill any gaps
        • 7. Repeat until you have filled your dish to the top
        • 8. Finish with a sprinkling of sieved cocoa powder
        • 9. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours
